About Marc Sinnott

Marc Sinnott is a seasoned broker and investor with over a decade in the Southern California real estate industry.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Marc Sinnott moved to Central Los Angeles after college and has been a proud Angeleno ever since. Currently based in Downtown’s Historic Core, Marc has always enjoyed learning and experiencing the history, culture, architecture, and diversity of LA’s many neighborhoods. He loves that working in real estate affords him opportunities to explore and really get to know all corners of the Greater LA area. Over the span of a decade in the industry, he has worked on deals from the beach to the IE, and from the Grapevine to the OC.

Marc has extensive experience representing clients in transactions that have ranged from residential leases and sales to commercial office, retail, and hospitality. In a constant effort to learn, grow, and help clients, he never shies away from a challenge, and no deal has been too big or too small: from a $14,000 mobile home to multi-million dollar estates, to a $12 Million mixed-use hotel and nightclub, and everything in between! Marc’s past clients often attribute this success to his patience, expertise, in-depth knowledge of the transaction process, and his ability to educate and break down complex issues. His experience and demeanor help empower his clients to stay confident and collected through what can otherwise be a chaotic process.

Marc completed his undergrad at the University of California Santa Barbara, earning a dual-BA in Business Economics and Italian. After a semester abroad in Padova, Italy, he worked in research and analysis at a hedge fund in Geneva, Switzerland. His background in economics and finance combined seamlessly with his lifelong passion for real estate and architecture to equip him with essential tools like valuation, financial analysis, and negotiation.

It was also in the study abroad program in Italy that Marc met his partner Carrin Tanaka. A seasoned film composer, designer and business owner, Carrin is also the creative force behind the marketing and branding strategies at Urbana Real Estate.

Marc’s first position in real estate was as a marketing intern for a top-producing agent. While working a day job in retail and the internship oh his days off, Marc took the bus to night classes on the Westside to study for his CA real estate license. Then, his role within the real estate group continued to grow. What started as a small team within a national office soon broke off to become an independent, boutique brokerage specializing in a high-end submarket. Marc helped to build the growing brand, and his responsibilities expanded to include administration, marketing, and transaction coordination. In the meantime, he continued to build his portfolio of deals as a licensed agent.

He also helped to develop the company’s newsletter, which allowed him to tap into his interest in architecture. Over the years, Marc researched and wrote over 50 articles on local history and historic architecture. This helped to give him a thorough knowledge and appreciation for the early development of the city.

The experience at the boutique company also planted a seed. After helping to grow one brokerage from the ground up, it became clear to Marc that building a company of his own was not only a dream, but a logical next step. And after the pandemic, lockdown, and social upheavals of 2020 had completely upended the way we live and work, the time had never been better for a new, different approach. He decided to create a brand new real estate brokerage based on his values, and his vision, which would enable him to best utilize his strengths to help as many people as possible navigate the world of real estate.
